IgniteNet's MetroLinq 2.5 60 Outdoor Base Station Sector Cloud-Enabled Outdoor Switch is the first-ever 60GHz Multipoint solution in the market that can support up to 8 clients like the original 1G MetroLinq. This base sector allows high capacity connections to multiple endpoints in the world-wide unlicensed 60GHz band to create ultra fast deployment without the hassle of license-required frequency bands. It also includes a second 5GHz radio which acts as a backup on a client by client basis.

The MetroLinqTM 2.5G 60 Beamforming Sector is a powerful 60GHz MultiPoint base-station packed with the latest technologies from IgniteNet. This new radio can achieve 2.5Gbps capacity allowing the construction of multi-gigabit, future-proof hybrid fibre wireless networks quickly and cost-effectively. Using the latest phased array beamforming antenna design allows 120° area coverage with an improved performance when focusing the signal to a specific client when data is transmitted and received.

The new beamforming sector antenna has a 120° area coverage, but during the communication with each client device 16 narrow beam steps of 10° are used, which improves noise immunity and assures security of your links.
